Question by GEORGIA ON MY MIND: Why oh Why did Billions and Billions of folks think Utah was the Real Deal …?
I admit I was one of them … but alas I have been shown the error of my thinking.
Texas Christian/Auburn/Boise State/Oregon should all be playing in the title game since all they do is win.
I say put all of em’ in a stadium (use the one in Dallas since they ain’t doin’ nothing with it) and let em’ duke it out.
The one who comes out on top is Champion.
Losing like they did to Notre Dame in South Bend says what about Utah?
….. “They ain’t who I thought they were!” … “and they were caught by an Irish Hook!”
Thanks and thumbs up to all who answer … just give me time to get back and read the answers.

Boise State doesn’t play anybody except Division 1-A teams so I would erase them.
They looked pretty terrible to a mediocre Notre Dame team yesterday.
Ugh, whatever! Our team rocks.
Go Utes!!!
Theyre just like Boise State and Texas Christian, thriving off a weak schedule.
TCU and Boise are good teams, dont get me wrong, but you give them some real opponents, and they dont go undefeated.
Clearly, they were never really a top 10 team. However…
I think some teams let defeats from the previous week beat them again, and Utah was one of them. If you think about it, what did Utah have left to play for? They are not going to win the MWC, and they got killed by TCU in their biggest game of the season. They would have lost one game all season and still wouldn’t have been in a BCS bowl game nor any other of the more prestigious bowl games out there. I can see how they weren’t motivated this weekend, especially in the cold and rain–not used to playing in–and against a team that it’s easy to take for granted. They didn’t look motivated, either–many dropped passes, and the defensive effort wasn’t there. ND was the exact opposite–they are trying to somehow pull out enough wins for a bowl game, and I’m sure they’re tired of hearing negative crap about them. Now all they have to do is figure out a way to beat Army, and what everyone else thought was kind of impossible is actually going to happen.
Oh, and another thing I thought when I was looking at that game–it’s the difference in having better players. ND’s defense is not good, but they were all over Utah’s backfield. Hate to say it, but with the schedule Utah plays, no, they have not seen the kind of players ND has before with the exception of TCU. Wynn tried his best, but…he got a lot of pressure, and the receivers didn’t help him. Teams like Boise State will outshoot a team like ND on offense to make up for not having the best talent on the field, but the lack of effort everyone but Wynn was giving on O didn’t allow Utah to do that.
Utah’s top 25, but a lot of us just assumed they were top 10 because of what they’ve done in the past.
