Question by miamiskippa754: Who has the toughest schedule this year in college football?
I read an article that ranked the top 3 as
1. Washington Huskies
2. South Carolina
3. Florida State
I don’t see how Washington can have a tougher schedule than Florida State. Sure, they play 9 bowl teams from a year ago, including USC, Ohio State, and Boise State….but they play everyone of them at home. The play UCLA and Hawaii on the road and thats it.
Tough road games make a schedule tough, not tough home games.
Florida State plays Clemson, Florida, Wake Forest, Va Tech, Boston College all on the road.
Then they play Miami @ home, and Alabama in Jax. Anyone who thinks this is a home game for FSU is clearly ignorant about football, because Alabama travels as good as anyone, and they will have just as many make the short trip to Jax, if not more than FSU!
Colorado sucks, but it’s still another road game
That is 5 very tough road games, 1 tough home game, and one tough neutral site game.
What do u think?
i didnt say playing at home gurantees them a win. washington is terrible, so they will more than likely lose all of those games. the argument is toughest schedule, not who will lose more of these games. Unless FSU is tremendously improved, anyone can beat them, but that doesnt make their schedule tough.
That is your opinion, but its hard to argue home games against road games. FSU plays 2 BCS teams on the road, Washington plays 3 at home (one of them being Boise State). Come on man
warchant, although we agree on some things, the sec is the best conference every year, so of course they schedule cake non conference games. no matter what they play tough schedules. I think 7 out of 10 of the toughest schedules on that list where SEC teams. So no, they dont play crap teams. UF plays SEC schedule and FSU every year. They tried to add Miami back in the mix!!! That is sick, so they had to drop it.
FSU played a horrible schedule last year. Did you see their non conference teams? Troy State, Western Michigan, Rice, and somebody else lame like that. So dont knock SEC teams for doing it

I agree with you on the FSU schedule. I think that West Viginia, Louisville, and Miami(FL) have it hard also.

Washington plays 3 BCS teams… Who says playing at home guarantees them a win…? Still is the hardest schedule by far because of their non conference opponents.
Probably a crappy SEC team. cuz they would be playing Florida, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, Miss, Georgia, Ark. Talk about a gauntlet.
I Honestly think Florida….they always seem to have a rough one.
Hey Chris Florida plays Western Kentucky, Troy, Florida Atlantic, Vanderbilt, and at Ole Miss which are high school teams at best. Boise State is not a hard team, they suck! Watch Ohio State lose 5 to 6 games this year!
Florida State has the hardest schedule, but Jeff Bowden is out. We will be ok this year. Colorado game is on their field, I don’t know how FSU will react to the air!
Washington plays its hard teams at home but its schedule is tougher than South Carolina. Notice how the SEC plays more crap teams than anyone.
Alabama game sold out in acouple of hours. Its going to be a big game!
