Question by smurfica5: What is the best route from Los Angeles to Boise?
We are driving to Boise in August. Also may need a good half way point to stop at a hotel if we get tired.

Leave LA and head East till you get on 1-15, then follow it north through NV and UT. As you leave UT, get onto I-84 and follow that to Boise

That ought to be too long of a drive to make without stopping for sleep.
Mapquest is my first choice for choosing driving routes.
Yahoo maps is my second.
Sacramento is a great place to stop, although it is not on a direct route.
I stayed at Vagabond Inn Executive Old Town Sacramento Hotel the last time there and thought it was great!
