Phil, it’s not going to be deleted, because it’s in the correct section. If you don’t like my questions, then you should just move on. It’s one question out of like 25 within the first page.
Jeremy, thank you for your opinion. I don’t hate the ACC, I just think they are in the lower tier of the BCS conferences. I’ve been really high on North Carolina in the past couple of years only to be disappointed. Butch Davis has struggled for what his resume brings to the table. It’s true, that UNC is better than the usual 1-11 seasons in the past.
As for Pitt, I think Pitt could be a BCS Championship contender if it wins at Utah in week 1. Miami will be a much improved team, but they also play @ Ohio State the previous week.
Michigan State usually starts out well, but there is a reason why MSU is 4-0 at this point. The only true test they have is a home game vs. Notre Dame and I think ND is going to go through some growing pains this year.
Mississippi State almost always surprises one team a year at home. Dan Mullen took the team to a 5-7 record last year, I like him to sneak up on the Georgia Bulldogs early in the season after a couple of tough SEC games against Auburn and LSU.

You’re on crack if you think the Tar Heels are going to lose to Rutgers. Keep in mind that the 44-12 drubbing of Rutgers in 2008 was the year that Rutgers was picked to be a BCS sleeper and the Heels were expected to be mediocre. This year it’s supposed to be the other way around, yet I’m thinking the score won’t change much.
Miami and Pitt will be a close game, but I don’t think you’re giving enough credit to the ACC. I bet Miami takes that one.
I like the vast majority of your picks though, even if you do hate on the ACC.
Damn I just went and checked out your picks from the first few weeks. You have the Tar Heels starting 0-3?! They pretty much indisputably have the most talented defense in the nation, and they’re fielding a veteran offense that is going to be a whole lot better than people expect.

You got Michigan State at 4-0. I like it!!!!!
Go Green! Go White!
Mississippi St. over Georgia would be a huge upset. But thumbs up on the work.
