Question by : Was it fair when an undefeated Boise State team in 2009 did not go to the National Title?
Florida had one loss and played Oklahoma in the National Title. Whereas, Boise State played in the Nobody Cares Bowl. Boise State coach challenged Florida to a match but Urban Meyer said he was going to just take their championship and come back next season.

i thought boise had a loss. either way, we all knew it was going to be florida vs ou, texas or texas tech. and yes, i do think the bcs is a joke so im not just sayng boise is a fraud.

No it was not fair. Florida was scared of Boise st that’s why urban myers wouldnt accept coach petersons challenge.
Considering they ended up losing that bowl game to TCU (who Oklahoma beat 35-10) I’d say the system got it right.
