@Matt
Virginia Tech has a QB that should be a sensation Logan Thomas, and a great prospect at RB David Wilson. QB Thomas is 6’7″ and resembles Cam Newton. My question is why is everyone so high on Florida State?

Pre-season rankings are almost meaningless, but it looks about right, though I would have TCU ranked lower after losing QB Andy Dalton.
Why’s Virginia Tech always ranked so high, despite choking every year?
On a side note, Oregon vs. LSU is going to be epic.
edit: @Christopher. Check Rivals and ESPN. FSU has a ridiculous recruiting class.

I don’t like the rankings, why is Auburn at #19 and florida state at #5.
They seem right and I agree with the USC guy that they are quite meaningless. By the end of the year, Penn State, Michigan State, Georgia, and Auburn will be out of the top 25
texas a&m shouldn’t be ranked that high.
Looks pretty good, except Iowa should be in the top 5.
I think I will wait until the teams start playing before I pay any attention to the rankings. Do you remember a few years ago when the number 2 team lost every week for a bizarrely long stretch of the season? And when was the last time a preseason number 1 stayed at number 1 throughout the entire season and still won the national championship? I’m not sure it’s ever happened.
By way of example, my alma mater, Michigan State. Currently ranked 17. They will not finish the season there. Either they have a strong season and finish in the top 10 range, or they lose some games to the likes of Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan, and Ohio State and fall out of the top 25 altogether.
Of course, it’s college football and it’s the preseason. Anything can happen…
Looks good, though I would rather Bama have been number 1 instead of my Sooners. Even though its preseason polls, the number one team still has a bigger target on their back than number 2. The rest looks good, dont know about Texas getting in until they prove themselves. Notre Dame is overrated, but whats the surprise there?
I’m like C Dubb. There is big target on the No. 1 team’s back and they have the pressure to deal with staying at No. 1. I like it that my Crimson Tide is rated second but, as usual, there will be a target on their back as well.
Note their are 5 SEC West teams in the top 20. Total of 8 SEC teams in top 23.
Can see why Notre Dame or Auburn is even in the top 20.
