Question by LA Boise Fan: Why are some college football fans so irrational when talking about Boise State?
They all tell us to “schedule teams” when in reality, we cant just tell Texas or Oklahoma we are scheduling them. Texas has already rejected to schedule us. The only BCS-caliber schools that have had a sack and scheduled us thus far are Georgia and Michigan State. Also, people tell us to join a real conference? Well how are we supposed to when were not even invited??!!??!

it seems to me that major schools are afraid to schedule boise because they are afraid of getting their a$ $ kicked

Thats why I will never watch FBS football, its too much of a scam. If anyone thinks they don’t line up certain teams to succeed through rankings they need a mental evaluation. The FCS has an amazing playoff every year, I just don’t get why FBS can’t do it the same way beause the FCS players are the ones who actually have to do their work and go to class, the don’t major in “Lunch” and “Breathing” to get a college degree like most FBS players do.
Exactly. Boise deserves a shot to play in the NC game. They play 1 or 2 really good teams a year, and they always win, usually easily.
I don’t blame schools that don’t want to play Boise State. It’s a lose-lose situation.

Easy to win one big game per year when its the only one that you have to game plan for.
i hear the big east is looking to add boise state. but the big east is not a good conference so i doubt it would help your chances much.
its too bad boise state isnt in the pac 12. i think that would be a good fit. and you would play real teams like oregon, stanford, and usc.
the bottom line is…….right now even if boise state goes 12-0……..they do not deserve to play in the national championship game. boise state does not have to fight week in and week out like teams such as LSU, Alabama, or Oklahoma.
so get into a good conference and then we can talk. until then……its out of your hands, im afraid to say.
They were invited by the Big East I think, but I also believe Boise was smart in rejecting it, seeing as the Big East is in too much trouble for Boise to fix. Boise is 6-2 against BCS ranked teams, and have beaten Oregon (twice), TCU, Georgia, and Virginia Tech in the past five years, and only one was a home game. And according to the Sagarin SOS rankings that ESPN showed during the Stanford/USC Boise had the third hardest schedule of the undefeateds, even harder than Alabama’s. I find it really funny when there are soooo many people against the BCS, but they can’t stand the BCS Buster Boise State
It is irrational to call Boise State a top ten team.
