My son lives in Sandpoint and has 8 horses. He has horse back rides during the summer up at sweitzer. I know Sandpoint is quite a ways from Boise, but they sure have lots of horse ranches there and many places to go riding or buy a horse, or grow and buy hay too.

There are a lot of small communities that surround Boise that are horse friendly, espically if you live outside of the city limits.
Depending on how far away from Boise you’d like to be will determine what towns/areas you’ll want to look at.
Here’s just a few areas to look. Eagle, Star, Middleton, Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, Kuna, and Melba.
