Thanks for printing this. It looks fair to me based on how team’s performed week 1.
My respect for Mizzou, Illinois, Alabama and Clemson only goes up all around for scheduling “real” games against top programs on Week 1. We need more of that – it would be good for football.
Know better? Leave your own answer in the comments!

THANKS FOR THE INPUT! IT IS FAIR!

Well trying to be objective and not be offended my buckeyes dropped…but right now i think its still a crap shoot…i mean most of us are playing rinky dink teams that if we dont slaughter there is a problem. For my team, the game vs usc will be huge test. So for right now…yeah rankings work for me!
Could you please list your source? I’ve looked in several places on the web and have not found an updated poll.
The AP Poll is on ESPN
Ohio State should be 10th (kidding)
Its fair, it is to early to really rank these teams, nobody has a body of work to be judged on.
but my trojans are #1 thats always good!
There really shouldn’t be pre-season polls. They should be released several weeks into the season like the BCS poll, after the teams have gotten into conference play and have really shown their abilities. Pre-season polls just make it harder for other teams to rise up while the perennially good or strong teams get to sit up top waiting to be knocked down. Right now, numerous teams are 1-0…why should any of them be ranked above another at this point?
Hard to argue this early. BUT, I think BYU is way too high and Colorado should be ranked in the lower 20′s.
Polls mean nothing right now but after watching football over the weekend ,USC looked the best!!
I’m surprised that Utah got in, I think they beat a mediocre Michigan team, nothing special and Fresno St. should have been in there earlier but they just have to prove themselves
The polls are never fair this early in the season. They are for our entertainment. Pre season polls should be thrown out the window. You notice the only poll that really matters doesnt come out until halfway through the season.
all i care is usc is no. 1 yet agian yeaaaaaaaaaaaa

Thanks for this, I was wondering if they would put Utah on it. I’m a bit surprised UCLA didn’t make the Coach’s Poll, though.
Cheers!
