Contact your local American Legion Post and ask them to go there and “request ” that it be replaced…
Thanx for your service !

Donate a new flag to them and offer to dispose of their torn flag in a dignified and appropriate manner
Go buy a new flag and give it to them. Offer to take old flag for proper disposal.
Options:
1. Get over it.
2. Pook your eyes out so you don’t have to look at it.
3. Ask (politely) that the put up a proper flag.
4. Ask (politely) that the owners take down the flag all together.
5. Offer to buy the owner a new nice flag to hang.
6. Start a boycott of the restaurant.
7. Move to a different part of town.
Buy them a new one and present it to the owner and take the tattered one to a VFW or American Legion post for proper disposal.
Purchasing a flag and bringing it to the restaurant is a very nice idea.
If this is a chain store, another would be to go to the company’s website and leave them an email informing them of the tattered condition of the flag and express your displeasure of seeing it. Asking them to replace it so that you may patronize their business in the future would allow them to make amends on their own.
