For the 2009 season what teams are the most overrated? I think it is Iowa and Texas. Simply because Iowas stats suck, however they have the heart to win and are actually a pretty fun team to watch, but seriously Northern Iowa? 17-10 victory? And Texas really other than Oklahoma and Oklahoma State they have not really played a real team, and their non conference was a joke. My friends say it is Notre Dame, but Seriously they were never really in the nation title or BCS bowl games scene. TCU is good and Boise State is like Iowa to me

USC because they are overlay hyped every year and are always #1 in preseason polls

This year it’s pretty much all of them….
Alabama and Florida haven’t looked very impressive late in the season and Texas either. Boise State beat Oregon but we all know it wasn’t the same team Oregon is now. Then Oregon looked really good against USC then they slumped also.
This would have been a perfect year for a playoff. So many teams look flawed.
iowa they desreved that loss i mean there are so many better teams then them ill be surprised if they are still ranked by the end of the season
i dont think texas is overrated but they shouldnt be ahead of alabama

I think the term “overrated” is an overused term. No matter who loses, and the circumstances in which they lose, it always seems that everyone is “overrated”. Their is so much parity this season that no team looks unbeatable.
But the most overranked team in my opinion is clearly Houston, who, even though they beat Oklahoma St. (who hasn’t looked great either) early in the season, have lost to a 3-6 UTEP team, and has had last second victories over Southern Miss and Tulsa.

texas- just look at their schedule that says it all. VERY WEAK!!

Cinci and Pitt. Well Im not sure on cinci, but there conference is very weak! And those are the teams theyve played, but Pitt lost to cinci really the only competition in that confereence so they deffinately are.oh yah and houstan

I say Iowa and Cincinnati. Iowa is barely getting by their opponents and they can’t dominate a game from beginning to finish. Cincinnati is being given way to much credit. The only real team they have beaten was South Florida. They almost lost to UConn last night and I think Pitt will beat Cincy.
Florida is overrated for sure! USC is and they even pay their players. Really everyone is this year. College football is lame this year. However the most complete team is TCU. I know they play in the MWC but they hammer the teams they are suppose to and play well for an entire game like a good team is suppose to do.
USC and Oklahoma. Both overrated and many people are just bandwagoners.
