I can tell you that the most sure-fire way to find a job is to hit the pavement and start looking in person. You’re not likely to find a part-time job for a 16-year-old online, I hate to say. Make sure that when you start looking, look nice as you only make a first impression once.
I’d suggest starting at your favorite businesses in town. Maybe there’s a boutique you really like or an ice cream shop you frequent. Start there, just casually ask if they’re hiring. You’d be surprised how far that will get you.
Also, if you like to babysit, there are some online resources for that. I’ve had luck with care.com and sittercity.com. But I must stress to you, take your parents with you to meet any potential employers. You don’t know who people really are in all cases. Always best to err on the side of safety.
