Company Acquires Florida Property Tax Appeal Firm Harris Diaz

Florida property tax advisory firm Harris Diaz LLC has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Delaware investment company U S Pension Administration LLC (USPA). The deal allows USPA , a pension investment company, to diversify its assets while providing Harris Diaz greater business infrastructure and resources upon which to increase its growing market reach. “Our agreement with USPA epitomizes synergy. Each business brings unique value to this relationship,” says David Walle, spokesman and property tax advisor with Harris Diaz.
Until recently Harris Diaz had been strictly focused on real estate property taxes. The firm has represented properties from Florida’s panhandle to Miami Dade. With guidance from USPA, the property tax reduction firm has just begun representing tangible personal property (TPP) cases. “The resources of USPA have allowed us to consider many ways to expand into new markets. Adding tangible personal property representation to our services offered has just multiplied the number of likely clients,” says Walle. “For example, hotel owners are more enthusiastic when they realize we’re equipped to contest assessments of real estate taxes along with taxes on all their beds, nightstands and other tangible personal property.” Walle credits the ability to make such changes to the direct support and guidance of USPA and development of proprietary software and databases.
Although he is a co-founder of Harris Diaz, Mr. Walle’s role is now changing. “U S Pension is taking ownership so they will be in charge of operations and all top management decisions. And I get to remain with the team as the company grows. ” Walle emphasizes that he’s happy to focus now on property tax appeals and working with clients. “That’s what is truly rewarding, reducing taxes and making a positive impact for property taxpayers.”
