my wife and i want to move from california to boise so we can live cheaper and can afford for her to go to nursing school without having to live in a cardboard box. how long does it take until you are considered a resident and dont have to pay those fees and are there any good schools where you dont have to pay them?? thanks!

You should check and see if Idaho and Colorado and California, participate in the Western States Compact. That is an agreement amongst some states that says essentially that if you are a resident of any of the states in the compact, you do not have to pay out of state tuition, as long as you come from a participating state. It would be worth looking into.

  1. I’m unsure of nursing schools in those two markets, but I think as long as you have an established adress in either market, you will be considered a resident.

  2. Please try: http://www.nursingmasters.com They have lots of good information on various nursing degrees both Bachelors and Masters
