ima a fresno st fan first of all but i dont remember being as hyped as another game i was 4 this 1 2 gr8 teams gr8 venue 1st game of yr and title hopes on the line all in 1 game love the venue
@sicemdawgs100 And the media hype that surrounds VT every year is an invention. Fan hype isn’t nearly as hardcore as ESPN’s and Rivals’. The analysts try and create hype for most of the top-10 teams so people will watch the games. Just remember the “Any Given Saturday” speech.
@sicemdawgs100 Wasn’t even a week later. Virginia Tech should have and could have beat JMU, but they didn’t obviously. Players were drained and you can’t come back from a big game like that and then play after three days of practice. Still shouldn’t have lost though. But all I’m saying is, is that the non-BCS “powerhouses” are a bit more respectable than you think. Not all of them are, as Mr. Smith likes to say, “little sisters of the poor.”

@sicemdawgs100 Maybe. But a lot of people have said that. Ask Wisconsin (TCU, going with the non-BCS) and Oregon (twice). If every single one of the “dream team” is academically eligible and can play against these guys right out of high school then you’ll probably win. But Aaron Murry can’t do it by himself.

VT was a good football team. Losing to Boise State was not a bad thing. Boise has beat a lot of good teams in the last 5 years.
